Team

Peter is a Partner at Oryx. He is a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for deal origination, execution, due diligence and structuring.

Peter was former Head of Australia and Asia at Appian Capital Advisory, where he led its mining investment expansion plans into Australia and Asia. Prior to Appian, he served as CEO at Ora Banda Mining, a publicly listed gold producer, which followed an 18 year tenure at mining private equity fund Resource Capital Funds where he held a final position as Partner & Managing Director Australia. Peter started his career working for Western Mining Corporation (WMC) at numerous underground mines.  He finished at WMC as underground manager of the Long-Victor Complex before moving to LionOre Australia to build the Emily Ann Nickel Mine.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Investment, is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
