Oryx Global Partners announces further team additions; Patrick Loftus-Hills and Peter Bryant join as Senior Advisors

London, Abu Dhabi, 28 February 2025 – Oryx Global Partners (“Oryx”), the investment firm dedicated to facilitating the energy transition and securing supply chains through strategic investments in the minerals value chain, announces the appointment of Patrick Loftus-Hills and Peter Bryant as Senior Advisors, building upon the strong foundational team and extending their presence into the United States. 

Highlights: 

• Patrick is a seasoned investment banker with extensive relationships and deep expertise in the global natural resources and industrials sector. His appointment extends Oryx’s connectivity across the industry and strengthens its investment capabilities.
• Peter is a recognized thought leader on the energy transition, materials and mining, innovation and ESG. He adds strategic insights into innovation, the energy transition and sustainability, with a focus on addressing complex challenges in the global commodity supply chains. He will also support Oryx to be a leader in responsible and sustainable operations. 
• Oryx continues to cement its position as an emerging leader in the minerals investment space and as a pioneer in responsible and sustainable practices, as it seeks to deliver impactful investments in the minerals value chain.

Patrick Loftus-Hills

Patrick joins Oryx as a Senior Advisor. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor at Moelis & Company, where he previously served as a Partner and Managing Director. His distinguished career has seen him advise almost every major global mining company, providing strategic guidance on a wide range of transactions, including cross-border M&A, capital raisings, and restructurings. Patrick has successfully completed numerous high-profile financial advisory transactions for companies listed on major stock exchanges worldwide.

Prior to Moelis, Patrick was the Joint Head of the Asian Industrials Group and Head of Natural Resources at UBS in Hong Kong and held leadership roles in the UBS global mining team across multiple jurisdictions including New York and Australia.

Additionally, Patrick is a Director of Ivanhoe Electric (NYSE: IE), is a Managing Member of Sweetwater Royalties LLC, an Orion Resource Partners’ portfolio company, and Chairman of the Monash University US Leadership Council, Co-Chairman of the US Friends of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Vice Chairman of the AUS USA Foundation.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science (Industrial Chemistry) from, and is a Fellow of, Monash University in Australia.

Peter Bryant

Peter joins Oryx as a Senior Advisor. He is a recognized thought leader on the energy transition, materials, mining, innovation and ESG, where he is widely published on these themes.

He currently serves as Board Chair of Clareo, is the Co-Founder of the Development Partner Institute, and advises leading think-tanks, venture capital funds and innovative technology companies, including the National Center for Energy Analytics, Fundamental, Lilac Solutions and Safe.AI. He has worked with major global companies such as Anglo American, BHP, and BP, and actively contributes to prestigious initiatives like the Rockefeller Foundation’s 17 Rooms program and the Future Mineral Forum’s Ministerial Roundtable. He has also provided strategic guidance on the Innovation Councils of several leading organizations.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University in New Zealand, is a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
