Ghassan is the Risk Officer at Oryx. He is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the risk management framework and processes.

In addition to his role at Oryx, Ghassan founded and is Chief Executive Officer of Paragon Consulting Partners, a risk management, internal audit, and compliance consultancy company. Previously he held various senior roles in risk, internal audit and governance at J. Awan & Partners, Grant Thornton, HSBC, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Barclays across London and the Middle East. 

Ghassan holds a Master of Business Administration from Saïd Business School, Oxford University, a Master of Science (International Banking & Finance) from Durham University, and a Bachelor of Art (Accounting & Finance ) (Honors) from Newcastle University. He is also a Certified Financial Risk Manager, holds a Sustainability & Climate Risk Certificate from the Global Association of Risk Professionals, and holds a Certificate in Internal Audit & Risk from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors
