Ghassan is the Risk Officer at Oryx. He is responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate risk management frame works and strategies.

In addition to his role at Oryx, Ghassan founded and is Chief Executive Officer of Paragon Consulting Partners, a risk management, internal audit, and compliance consultancy company. Previously he held various senior roles in risk, internal audit and governance at J. Awan & Partners, Grant Thornton, HSBC, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Barclays across London and the Middle East. He began his career at Deloitte. 

Ghassan holds a Master of Business Administration from Saïd Business School, Oxford University, a Master of Science in International Banking & Finance from Durham University, and a Bachelor of Art (Honors) in Accounting & Finance from Newcastle University. He is also a Certified Financial Risk Manager and holds a Sustainability & Climate Risk Certificate from the Global Association of Risk Professionals, and holds a Certificate in Internal Audit & Risk from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors.
